New tennis facilities take shape Good progress has been made on the new show court at Devonshire Park, which will be carefully tended by the ground staff in readiness for the 2018 international tennis event.

TrioPlus, in its capacity as Tennis Architect, working under Levitt Bernstein Architects, produced the specification for the new tennis courts and irrigation that form a key part of a major re-development of Devonshire Park to take place over the next four years.

The tennis facilities are to be further enhanced by a new ‘Players Village’ planned to be ready for use for the WTA and ATP event in June 2017.  TrioPlus, through Phil Sandilands and Robin Wilson (TrioPlus Associate) has been instrumental in developing the internal feel and layout of the Village using their experience in the design of sports facilities – from recreational to high performance infrastructure – and their extensive tennis knowledge.
